Cowon Q5W turn off speaker

I hope this is the right place, but getting help for old Cowon players is not easy: My question is, how can I generally turn off the speaker of the Q5W? The manual says nothing about this. In radio mode, there is a setting, but this doesnt't help.

Any one knows a source for replacement batteries?
