Wow. The D must be creating the files again. There are system files on it. Maybe they are ROM based or something, pretty weird. I'm not willing to do it. LOL

More likely the system files are on a hidden partition so they can't be deleted if you format the internal storage

I honestly don't understand the volume complaints. I am using the D with my 250 ohm Beyerdynamics and if I turned the D on fully it would blast my ears away.

Does somebody experience this behavior: The Plenue D does not go to sleep when unplugging the headphones while it plays a song with the screen dark? For me in some instances the on off switch keeps flashing and it does not go into sleep mode. If I press the on off button I can see that the track indeed stopped when I unplugged the headphones. So going to sleep was not prevented by still playing music. On other occasions the Plenue D properly goes to sleep. I don't know how to reproduce this behavior. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your fast reply. Unfortunately this explains nothing to me. As I said: Sometimes the D goes to sleep properly when I unplug the headphones (while playing a song and the screen is off) and by this I mean after the countdown of the auto off minutes (standard setting like in the video), and some times it does not go to sleep after the set countdown time. It keeps flashing :(

It is because it has two types of regulation on the player to turn off.

You have the time to turn off the display automatically (without pressing the lock button) you can regulate.

It has the automatic shutdown time of the player if he stays with the paused music.

It has the sleep mode feature that causes the player to enter hibernation mode (as in the notebook when you close but not turn off the power). If this functionality is not enabled, the message indicating that this shutting down.

It is also possible to change the settings for the LED stops blinking when the screen is off (during playback).

Thanks again for your help. But I'm pretty sure you misunderstood me because of my bad Englisch (sorry, German here). So I made two photos. One with the sleep setting with 1 minute auto off and disabled sleep timer and the other photo is what happens after the 1 minute of the auto off elapsed

One more time: The screen of the second photo appears AFTER the 1 minute of the auto off setting elapsed. To wake it I have to press the power button a long time, a shot press does not work. So this is not just switching off the screen and then waking it by a short press. Anyway, this behavior NOT CONSISTENT when I unplug the headphones while the PD plays a song and it paused the playback because of the unplugging. However, the behavior IS CONSISTENT as I expect it whenever I manually pause the playback whether headphones are plugged in or not. Then it goes to sleep mode. It appears to me that this inconsistent behavior of going to sleep or not going to sleep after the set time is dependent on the headphones I use and then unplug. Or it may dependent on how fast or straight I unplug them. I know this sounds ridiculous and I sincerely hope I did not misunderstand you but I can tell that at least my PD behaves strange when it comes to going to sleep.

(And as far as I understand it the sleep timer – or in my picture the "Ausschalt-Timer" – is for going to sleep at night and force the player to shut down no matter what after 10 to 120 minutes like setting a timer for a TV in case you fall asleep while watching it. Sorry again for my bad English. I hope you know what I mean.)
