  connect your pd to your computer right click and press format. i formatted mine quite a number of times

When you formated the Plenue D, all folders appear like before?

What program to use to format? Or used the windows tool to format?

When you format, you copied the firmware file before ejecting the player to boot?

Sorry for asking so many questions, but I want to know in detail how the formatting process Plenue D. I'm afraid something bad happens ...

OMG do not Format the name Plenue D drive >X: whatever drive appears! You will erase the system files! Only format the SD card if it's inserted into the D. You will know as it's names something other than Plenue D.

If you have to delete music on the D, use the internal menu option to reset and worse case you can just delete all the music in the Music folder, but do not delete the folder just the audio files within it.

Hi

so the songs all in internal storage, 17gb of 32gb used and 4k tracks - so don't think it is track overload.  I suppose I don't have much option but to try deleting it all down and seeing if that helps. really worried this is not the problem though

thanks

I just formatted my internal drive and everything when smoothly, Had not encountered any problems

I used guiformat since the internal drive is fat32. This will erase everything on the drive incl system files etc. I then paste the firmware 1.13 (which contains 2 files) onto the drive. Disconnect and reboot

It will then automatically reinstall all the default and system files

P.S.
I moved my music files to the sd card and removed it from the unit prior to reformatting the internal memory

When using the guiformat...dont change the the name on the volume label

The D is better designed than I thought.

I was guess how to connect into mojo

use mojo as an amp 3.5mm

@kimD and @audio123

Impossible, even with an adapter. The Plenue D does not have a digital audio output and the has no analogue inputs (only digital ones).

And the "adapter" you are referring to would be an ADC that converts the Cowon's analogue output signal into a digital one that can be "read" by the Mojo, but this would be pretty much nonsense as the Mojo would then not decode the source file but the analogue signal from the Plenue D, so one could directly use the Cowon's analogue headphone output.

The Plenue D just wasn't designed to be connected to an external DAC, period.

Neither a amp correct?
I connect the C&C BH2 amp and all I hear is distorted sounds.

@ZerkMeister

Well, although a dedicated line out is better to feed an external amp, you can of course add an amp to the Plenue D. Please keep in mind though that to get the best performance, you should set a high volume level on the Plenue D and then adjust the volume through the amp. However, some amps seem do output a distorted signal if the line in level is too high or too low (the latter might be the case with the Plenue D, as it is not the most powerful (less than 2 V which is the most common line out level)).

Gotcha thanks.
As much as I love the Plenue D, this kinda bugs me. At first I thought the amp was bad but what you said is probably true about the line level being too high or low.
EQ has me so confused now, I dont know if I like normal anymore lol.
