Hi I'm about to buy one of these DAPs and I've done some thorough searching but not all my questions were answeared. D2 is higher on the list than M6 but everything is possible if you can convince me to chooce M6 over D2. Mainly I'm going for the D2 because of the superior battery life, sd slot, more powerfull onboard amp, better videoplayback, and that touchscreen sounds kinky. Meizus pros are size and a bit better looks.

Headphones are going to be IEMs so no need to suggest anything else. I'm working in a factory rigt now so a good sound suppression is essential. Qualities I'm seeking are: detailed sound, crisp punchy mids and deep punchy bass. I mostly listen to rock, punk rock, heavy , metal, progressive and some hip-hopish stuff. (fe. Foo Fighters, Alkaline Trio, AFI, From Autumn To Ashes, Raised Fist, The Mars Volta, Porcupine Tree, Gym Class Heroes...) I want my ass to bleed when the tight low riffs punch in and drums start to beat like hell!

Should I go all in on the Super.fis or would I get better bang for my buck buying D-Jays for half the price? And feel free to inform me on European shops with good prices! Etymotic Er-6i and Westone UM1s might be a good investment, but I haven't found a shop yet with Westones and from what I've read the Etys might not have the punch in the bass I want.

I also have Sennheiser HD595s that I might plug in during some long train rides , roadtrips or sometimes while chillin at home. First thread!

Both of your IEM choices are very sensitive, and both players have excessively powerful headphone-outs. This means a lot of hiss.

The only IEMs I'd get for either are (in this order): iM716, ER4S, ER6. Don't go for anything with high sensitivity and low impedance or else the hiss will bother you. Be aware that the Etymotic family of products has the punchiest bass bar none, and they EQ with a high tolerance before distortion, making getting the "right bass" simple. I'm not sure if it might make your.. ehm.. rump bleed, though.

And Shure E3Cs

Some nasty prices i've found:

D-Jays ~100€ (130$)
ER-6i ~100€ (130$)
E3C ~150€ (200$)
Super.fi 5 Pro~190€ (250$)

Super.fi 5 seems to be the only dual driver IEM in my list. Is the EB version of Super.fi 5 a lot different in sound?

I'm starting to tone down my needs and wants because I could use the money for my other wallet cracking hobby of photography. So lets concentrate on these sub 150$ phones. Which would you prefer: Super.fi 3 Studio for 73€ (100$) or D-Jays for 97€ (130$) these two would be easily accessable in a "local" store? Thanks for your time!

I *really* wanted to get an M6 due to the attractive price and design, but opted for the D2 instead because I can't find Meizu products anywhere in Canada. Wound up paying more than twice more for a touch screen I never really needed, but I wanted a player now and the D2 was the best solution. I hope the hiss isn't too much of a bother.
