I'm eyeballing a brand new cowon D2 (POTENTIALLY). Any feedback on if $230 CDN is a good price on the 4GB model? I'm not getting a warranty or anything

As of now, what's the highest capacity of flash memory one can put into it?

And the biggest question: How does the headphone out power Grado SR80s? The best way to answer would be in terms relative to the Zune/ZVM headphone out, as I'm very familiar with both of those players.

Thanks in advance, any discussion is welcomed!

You can get the D2 for $183 shipped from DirectCanada. And the D2 should be able to power the SR-80's easily.

Biggest SDHC card you can buy (affordably) is 8gb. The 16gb card is $3500. In a few years they will have affordable 32gb cards.

The claimed max out put is 74mw@16ohms... plenty of power

There might also be a larger capacity D2 coming out soon.

It's $183 plus $10 shipping from DirectCanada. I just got one last week from them. For $230 with no warranty, by chance is this the one selling at RedFlagDeals?

No it's not, someone in Vancouver is selling it.

What I meant was that there was someone selling his Black (NIB) D2 at Redflagdeals. Not sure if he's in Vancouver. Anyhow, it's still probably cheaper to order from Canada Direct because you will at least get a warranty.
