I'm toying with the idea of getting rid of my iMod and getting an A3, but the catch for me is capacity.

I love the form factor and codec support of the A3, but the higher amount of storage allowed by the iMod is a big plus for me. It's upgradeable to at least 120GB.

Anyone know what kind of 1.8" HD the A3 uses? What kind of connector, specifically? Is it the older style (PATA?) or the newer (ZIF?)?

Also, if anyone's upgraded their A3 hard drive already, I'd love to know if you ran into problems, etc.

Thanks in advance!

*bump!*

I want to know too. I'm -this- close to unloading my cash on an unsuspecting A3!

Exactly!
In this age of biscuit-thin, teeny weenie players, the A3 is a big beauty.
And it's not some wimpy little 480 x 240 pixel midget stretched over 5in of real estate... it's a real 800 x 480 powerhouse with fine pixels!
