anyone else addicted to Counting Crows? That's like all I listen to, and I just ordered a 4th cd of them. What are people's favorite songs?

Well, IMO, August and Everything After is among the best records of the 1990s and it never seems to get enough credit. Every single song on that album is amazing.

For alternate arrangements and a nice live album, check out Across a Wire: Live in New York City

My favorite Counting Crow's album is Recovering the Satellites, followed by their new one, Hard Candy. Both are great albums, and I think August... was an excellent debut album.

I'm a big fan. I've seen them live 4 or 5 times and they always put on an incredible show*. You should look at Across a Live Wire which a live double disc from concerts performed for MTV and VH1. One disc is more of a rock show, the other is more accoustic. Both are really good and show the versatility of the band and their music (some songs are on both discs and sound very different). Also look on the interweb for bootlegs/live recordings because there are a lot of them and many are very good songs you won't hear on any album.

*Except for when I saw them open for The Who. It was low energy and they only played a few songs pretty much straight off the album.

My dad worked with the drummer's dad for a bunch of years; I've met the whole band and have everything signed to proove it! The dude still calls my brother from time to time.

Not that anyone cared....
