My son is finally heading out to college and needs a "portable" amp to run out of Mac/Audigy2zs to this amp to either Ultrasone 2500s or SF 5 pros. I currently own the Xenos and
am debating giving him that or purchasing the new Corda Move for him. Any thoughts?

dw6928, MOVE is slightly better than 1HA-EPC in terms of sound, battery life, size. However, my experience of Super.Fi 5 Pro with MOVE is bad because the MOVE amplifies the already heavy bass in SF5Pro, so you can imagine how bad of the sound it is. However, if changed to Shure E500 or even Westone UM2, the sound is much better. Particular the E500, it sounds very impressive with deep and defined bass, transparency and detail mid, airy but mellow treble. UM2 is in 2nd, because its mid and treble are not as good as E500. For me, the Xenos sounds ok but not has the "wow" sound quality. If you insist to get the Super.fi 5 Pro, then may be Tomahawk is better option.

He already owns the Ultrasone and SF5pros so changing headphones is not an option. I currently own the Xenos amp and might give him that and buy the Move for me except that the Move has a internal DAC and I use a Microdac w/ the Xenos and really wouldn't need the DAC component of the Move for me. I guess, if anything, the Move would be for him.
