Heya, I long ago thought that, seriously, the 120 ohm DT931's will be the thing for me, with a kickass AC amp...

Although, I'm wondering if the 880's will compare to the 931's.... but that's another story.

Anyway, are there any mods for the HA-2? If so, how does one get them done? And how does the HA-2 compare to the Blue? Any other similarly priced AC amps? Thanks.

Send me an HA-2 and I'll tell you which one I like better.

Upgrades for HA-2 will be more difficult than they were for HA-1.

And it's way too early to know how they'd help or not help.

Kelly, didn't you say somehwat off hand that you liked the prehead better than the Corda Blue in your review of the prehead? I only ask becuase Jan insists that the HA-2 and prehead are neck and neck (slight nod to the prehead, if any) for sonic quality. If you did like the prehead better, it stands to reason that the HA-2 would also be better by what ever margin. It also has cooler jacks.

A queston I've been unable to get answered is this, how much do the blue mods cost? If that puts it in line with the HA-2, than I'd just get the HA-2 and be done with it. But that's me.

Oh, it's bed time. I guess I'll stop bungling in things over my head and get some sleep. (Have you taken your salt today?

I am not fond of assumptions and cannot compare amps I haven't heard. Jan has not heard Corda Blue, to my knowledge.

You are right, I am making a few consecutive shots in the dark here.
