I noticed the speaker portion of my porta-pro's snap off. Is there a way I can find some KSC 35 clips and convert them over? I find the headband of the porta pro EXTREMELY uncomfortable for long periods of use. I love these porta pro's, but they're extremely uncomfortable

You were clear, and yes that works fine. The thing is how would you get the ear clips short of buying KSC-35's? And then once you've bought the KSC-35's, the whole thing's sort of pointless, isn't it.

So just sell the Portapro's and buy KSC-35's I say.

Thanks for the input.....

I was under the impression that Koss uses the same clip on other "cheaper" headphones. I've seen some cheapy clip on Koss headphones at Walmart and Radioshack for around $8 if I remember right. Sorry, I don't remember any model numbers.

What does a 3 month old Porta Pro sell for on the used market these days?

Hmmm...I really don't know if other cheapies use the same detachable clip. It's possible those lower Koss models do. Maybe you should buy those and try them out.

I usually see Portapro's go for ~$20 used on the for sale forum.

I've had no luck finding hear clips to replace the uncomfortable Prota pro head band. Does anyone out there have more suggestions for me? I'm really regretting not buying the KSC35's now. I love the sound of the porta pros, I just can't stand to wear them for more than 40 minutes.

ive been looking for just a single clip for a month now.. no dice i tell ya. so i just ended up buying another damn pair of 35s.

yes, ive tried the replacement route too. radioshack has a pair of ksc-7 which looks similar on the long ear part, but dissimilar at the clip+driver connection.

i opened up a pair and found that they didnt attach the same way and would not work with the 35s. as far as i know, there are no other models that use similar clips. and koss absolutely does not have extra clips for sell/warranty

have you ever tried the 35's? They are a real pain to put on; takes forever to get them situated so you actually get any signal below 200hz.

Have you tried fiddling with the hard-soft sliders on the sides of the portapro? Not sure what I set mine to, but they are comfortable to forget I have them on. (now, the metal headband contracting and pinching some hair with it when I take them off is another story)

I think you need to sign up for "Remedial KSC-35 Use 101"

Put the clip over your ear, then rotate them back.

i have the KSC-35s and it got a little getting used to, they don't really rest snuggly on your ears, but i think that's the whole beauty of them. hold the bottom and the top and come from the top/back of your ear, and you'll get a perfectly full fit around your ears.

Nah, I take my HD280's with me everywhere now and the 35's sit on a shelf

I tend to agree with Ph0rk here, I have the KSC50 which is a clip on. I wish I hadn't had these, the sound quality is fine but it doesn't fit well on my ears (feel like there're about to fall everytime) and they hurt after a few minutes. i have small ears.
i prefer the headband much more than the clippers. Hope this helps
