Hey everybody,

I really want to convert some of my favorite In-Ear-Monitors into Earbuds (ie. VE Zen, Yuin PK1, Blox, Earpods etc).

I've been combing the forums for a long time, and haven't had much luck finding any topic that was similar to what I'm looking to accomplish.

I've seen a bunch of threads explaining how one can convert an Earbud to an IEM, but nothing vice-versa.

I'm sure some are wondering why I would ever want to do such a thing, but I personally LOVE earbuds, and can't really endure IEMs for long periods of time.

That said, there are some IEMs that I absolutely love. I just wish I could make them sit outside my ear canal.

I understand that IEMs are designed to be used this way, and that without a seal they will lose a substantial amount of impact / bass.. however, I'd like to try this as an experiment per-say.

I haven't been able to find any 'Earbud Foams' or anything that is able to fit a nozzle yet. I suppose I could create something DIY using some foams, however, I wanted to reach out to all you amazing people and see if anyone has ever gone down this road.

Please let me know if you have any tips, and if you think this is a stupid idea that will accomplish nothing -- I can't say I disagree :P.

Thanks,

Caspur
