the only possibility is some kind of clock synchronization from stop to play.. I don't trust it personaly

Seriously, though, I can't see how it'd work either. Granted, there is more vibration when you skip a track than any other time, so it is conceivable that jitter or something may cause a slight loss in sound quality, but it's only going to last for the first half a second or so of the track. Even if it is present, it's likely not really noticeable.

Really, who gives a flying crap?
