If the fit of the K501 is anything like the K701, I wouldn't recommend it. I hated the circular cups of the K701 because they always hugged the tops and bottoms of my ears. Plus, the universal-fit design makes it feel too right. I preferred the HD580 and HD650 regarding comfort, but couldn't tell any difference in sound quality between any of the headphones.
