I cannot be the only person with access to these on the board... so here goes. I have at my disposal several power supplies that are used to provide constant DC current or voltage (selectable)from a 120 AC source. I cannot speak for the "condition" of the power that comes from them, but I assume it to be pretty good because these are used for sensitive experiments.
Has anyone tried using this type of PS for a home project? I'm hoping to build one of the mini KGDAs and am considering using one of these as a PS at home and in the lab. I also may scavenge one to use as a "bench" PS for builds. I assume that one of these would supply enough power to the amps I build and I would have the advantage of fine tuning the power applied to where the amp would sound best.
Has anyone used these? What are you experiences?

a lot of ppl on these boards use "bench supplies". I've got a Power One 24V 7.2A linear power supply with only 3mV ripple pk-pk which I got from eBay for £6! The figures to look for are ripple and regulation...
