So, two hours into our trip north, the pack-in cheapo headphones that came with our new Disney car dvd player fell out of the car in a parking lot, and we subsequently and unwittingly drove over them, crushing them and ending their earthly existence. My son, the former benefactor of the free disney phones, is now using my KSC-75s. He's seven. Is he deviously smart, or just a lucky little bugger? I am locking up my Alessandros, just in case.

Think of it in a positive light... your seven year old is listening to music the right way now.

I'm really going out of my way trying to encourage my seven year old daughter to appreciate music. I enrolled her in guitar classes a few months ago, and her Christmas present this year was a Shanling MC30 with an Anthony Gallo Accoustics A'Diva TI/TR-1 combo. Sure, it's five or six times her normal Christmas budget, but how often do you get to do something this cool for your kids?

Sounds like a good excuse to me, that makes it easy for you to explain to your wife why you need to get yourself new headphones

Your son is secretly a Headphonus Supremus... find out his alias... and ask him what headphones to purchase next... He knows...
