Now that I'm familiar with the world of universal monitors, I thought I'd venture into the world of customs. I'm in search of a sound similar to that of my beloved SM3's, with strikingly lush mids, but preferably more bass impact, and a similarly overall warm, enveloping/intimate signature as the SM3's. So to those with experience in regards to custom in ear monitors, what are my options? Thank you kindly in advance.

Just sealed the deal for the JH16's. If I had gone for anything less, I'd have been too curious to hear what "improvements" (if any) higher end customs offer. Having heard many top tier universals, I'll know within a few weeks if customs are indeed the next best thing for my ears; else I've always got my beloved SM3 to fall back on.
