I have a Sony SCD-CE595 SACD player and an EMU 0404 USB. I want to know, is there anyway to directly connect the SACD player to the EMU for stereo SACD output? The EMU does not have stereo RCA analog inputs, which I find quite strange. This is just temporary until I have enough cash saved up to buy an Earmax Pro, but I'd really like to be able to connect the two together, anyway at all. Thanks.

So basically, you just want to use the 0404 USB as a headphone amplifier.

Since it's a studio card, the 0404 is built with balanced connections in mind, so there are no unbalanced-only connectors (ex. analog coaxial). All you'll need are two RCA-to-1/4" adapters, like these:

A slightly more expensive solution is to have someone like Blue Jeans Cable or a fellow Head-Fi user build you two RCA-to-1/4" terminated cables. That way, you wouldn't need the extra adapter connections.

In all cases, you'll be plugging into the Line/Hi-Z/Mic inputs on the front. They accept both XLR and TS/TRS input.
