Most of us audiophile headphone listeners turn into tireless neurotic detectives if we can hear an unknown buzz or hiss. Like any of you I was investigating a deep, abet faint, buzz coming out of my Yammy HA-02. It could only be heard with no music playing and didn't change in regards to volume. Finally having found the cause, now I'm asking the head-fi community for solutions.

I discovered the buzz to be coming from my source, a well-love Marantz SA7001, making this post hard to place on the forum; source of amps? The buzz is gone if the source is off. But what makes me place it in the amp forum is that the slight buzz can be heard through the headphones *EVEN IF* the yammy is completely powered down (but the source left on with no music). This has me completely baffled because I didn't think this was even physically possible since with the Yammy powered down I assumed the circirt to be cut and that nothing could be heard through the headphones let alone a that familiar 60Hz hum from a source. This seems like a simply solvable problem. Any Ideas? Has anyone come across this in the past?
