Hello guys, I heard that this forum is full of sound pros xD, maybe you can help me then. I have Sennheiser HD 201 headset and I'm playing game with them (CS:GO). The reason I use headset is to hear other players steps (to know their location). The problem is if I make my sound bigger I hear steps but gun shooting sound is too loud and I think it hurts my ears. Is it possible to make steps in the game louder and guns sound not that loud?

As far as I know there is no way of doing this. Probably to keep game balance/realism.

You could always try EQ'ing down some of the more offensive frequencies to bring out the footsteps more... but that's kinda cheating IMHO :).
