Computer speaker suggestions for gaming and orchestral music

I'm currently looking for computer speakers for gaming/music listening. Plan on getting AC4 Black Flag for my computer along with Watch Dogs and various other next-gen games for my PC so i think its about time to invest in some good speakers for great audio, currently stuck between corsair sp2500 and HiVi M50W 2.1 hearing good reviews and some bad reviews on them both so i don't know which i should get which is why I'm here looking for help XD. Also would i need a sound card inorder to get good sound?

Creative Labs Sound Blaster Z (SB1500, retail box), $100.
(has gone on sale for as low as $65
Good for both speakers and headphones.
 
If all you need sound card for is speakers, then get a used Xonar DX or D1 ($60).
 
Both the Z and DX/D1 come with the CS4398 DAC chip
 
Not sure what to recommend on the 2.1 speakers.
But check you local Craigslist for something used.
