Can anyone here suggest a good computer hardware forum?
I would like to find a place thats like head-fi, ie more about community, information, and a little light hearted. I have only able to find two types if forums:

Overclocker Forums->if I wanted to rice something I would concentrate on my civic

"Hard-core" forums->I am a computer programmer with double duties as a system admin, and even I get put off by these people.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I should add that my focus is really on gaming, its the only reason I keep my computer up to date.

never visit much on computer forum myself because i always know what i'm doing when it come to computer.

i've been the computing.net. though the website design look a bit out fo date, there are frequent posts and the people are light hearted.scroll down the list to the left and choose my computing.net and log in before trying to post anything, otherwise you'll lose everything you typed noce you hit submit.

Thank you for the suggestion, but maybe I should have been clearer. I am looking for a place that will help keep me up to date on all the new developments like pci-x, ddr2, etc. Right now I use tom's hardware, but it would be nice to talk and ask questions.

I used to visit www.Arstechnica.com very often when my computer was still decent but now my computer is old and slow and I don't have money for upgrade and it's not one of my priority so I don't visit computers forum anymore. But Usualy Arstechnica is very knowlegeble unless it has change drasticaly since I was there.

You see one, you see them all. I could however recommend club.cdfreaks.com if you want to know anything about optical discs and drives. Lots of good FAQs.

ocforums.com of overclockers.com is pretty good w/ the updates, although the forum's always flooded w/ people asking the same questions day in and day out.
