OK, so I've been using UE SuperFi 3s for several years and still happy.  Believe it or not I've never once tried the complys that came with them but have instead always used the silicone cushions.

Well recently the silicones have been driving me nuts when exercising, they come out very easily.  So I decided to try the complys that came with the IEMs and love them now.

My question is, these don't seem like they will last long (they are grey and very square shaped, not like the one they supply now).  What should I be looking at?  I realize I could just get Comply brand, but I figure there are alternatives.  My questions:

- Anyone know what size I should be considering with the originals in mind (they fit fine).
- what alternatives are there?  At $19 for a set of three of the branded Complys, they are pricey.

The only Comply tips that I've liked are the Ts series.  They're more comfortable to me, but I didn't care for them with my IE80s.

Could try the Shure black olive tips...  Complys last reasonably well, though.

The black cylindrical tips that come with Etymotics are also very good.

Shure olives last much longer than Comply tips. If you wear your IEMs an hour or two a day, I would say that each pair would last about 2-3 weeks, also depending on how clean your ears are and how humid the environment is.

Second the Monster Supertips. Even the gels stay in much better than regular silicone sleeves since there is no air between the sleeve and core. Also, the Monster foams will probably outlast any other foam as they are coated in some sort of rubbery substance.

However, they're not good for iems that require deep insertion since they are wider and shorter than the average tip.

I am pretty sure the foam tips that come with superfi3 are medium size Comply T500. The t400 may also fit, but very tight, running the chance of breaking the tip if u try to remove it.
Shure foam tips are nice too, but their inner tubes are too small to fit onto sf3. Some manual modding will be required, but then u may also risk getting the tips stuck in your ears when taking off earphone.
Monsters supertips foam is much stiffer than comply or shure, not as comfortable IMO.
There are other rarer options - i once bought some foam tips on ebay, no brand, but was told they are similar to vsonic foams. Stiffness is between shure and supertips.

jimai,

Those look spot on!  Fantastic, these are what I'm using now and they are fantastic.  Thanks for narrowing it down for me.

Thanks to everyone else also for the help.
