I finally picked up (uumph!) The Complete Calvin&Hobbes at Borders (30% off)- my god what a boulder! So i checked Amazon for the shipping weight- 22.5 pounds! The cashier remarked on the amount of carryout assistance required with the edition. I certainly can't think of anything heavier, short of encyclopedia's!

Ya i saw that thing at my Sam's Club. It is huge, i never knew that all the books added up to that. Is there never before seen strips in it? Or is it all old strips.

Picked one up from Costco. Ended up being around $90 including sales tax. At least, I could pick one that wasn't dented so much.

Yeah, no s**t that thing is insanely huge and heavy, I was really shocked when I first saw it and picked it up. I really didn't think it was going to be anywhere near that big and heavy when I first saw pics of it online.

Yea, i'd had my eye's on it for months, but never thought of the heft- untill the moment I actually went to buy it. Honestly, there is more clay than paper in there!
But seriously, worth every pound, even though i have most of the panels in paperback.

Oh geez, the thing is huge. I got one for my dad and it really wasn't fun carrying the behemoth from the bookstore to the car...
