I'd appreciate your help in putting together a list of out of tune vocal & instrumental performances (or moments within a performance) that you've run across on any commercially released CD. Doesn't matter what musical genre or how subtle or blatant the pitch problem might be. Anything that comes to mind would be helpful but I am looking for specific songs and artists.

Thanks all so much - glasskangaroo

not sure if this counts but in the soundtrack to St. Elmo's Fire, track 9 "Georgetown" the french horn soloist misses the 2nd note at the start of the solo but recovers a split second latter...it's not obvious so i guess they let it go...also a few times during the same solo sounds slightly out fo tune but overall a nice performance.

Well I don't know if it is out of tune but if Squirt is right there is a definite problem in the Gladiator soundtrack Track 3. He calls it horn splatter, the horn overpowering the microphone I think. The better your equipment the worse it seems. I listened to the track on my wifes tiny bedroom system and it is hard to pick out. With my headphone setup it is very noticeable.
