I am thinking of buying the Audio Technicca ATH-M30. I am just wondering what other headphones in the similar price range should I look at before I bring out my wallet. The headphones will be used at home/office and will need to be closed and comfortable.

Thanks.

Update:
How would the ATH-Pro5 compared to M30? Both are around the same price and according to spec, Pro5 have a slight edge over M30. Any opinions?

My big head makes wearing D22 uncomfortable after 2-3 hrs. I want something that is comfortable for at least 3-4 hrs.

Not having heard that AT can... I would think they are similar to your D22, or an MDRV6...?

FWIW I developed an intense dislike for the m30 once I heard something better. The sony v6 was a major improvement, IMO...also the k240s and Equation RP21

I understand where you're coming from, but I've decided to go back to the M30s after having gone through a pair (each) of Triports, HD280s, HD25-IIs and HD595s. It's a bit strange, I know!

Maybe it was in part due to my source. I was using them with a portable CD player. With that source the v6 was a clear winner, and later the RP21. YMMV of course
