First off, I love my PX100. After a year on headfi and two dozen headphones, I finally found what I was looking for and promptly dropped out of the loop. Now I need some isolation and want to get an IEM, but my head-fu is rusty. X3? M5? Q-Jay? Last time I was here everyone was drooling over the Vibes and now they're hamburger meat.

So... any suggestions for an IEM with a similar sound signature to the PX100 (the newer version)? Preferably under or around $100. I'm not looking for a miracle - I know I'm going to be sacrificing soundstage and fidelity, but just get me in the ballpark.

I just got the Sony EX71's and theyre around the $50 range. Theyre still breaking in,and they already sound really good. The tone so far is similar to my PX100,and the highs arent killing my ears either. Its not the holy grail, but for the price im satisfied. I got them for isolation in noisy areas.
I was looking at the JVC Marshmallows, but i heard theyre a bit veiled and bassy and was afraid maybe they might annoy me like Koss The Plug.
If these Sonys died,id buy another pair at the price.
Now im curious about the EC2's

Oh, BTW I have px100's too. I'm happy with both x3 and px100.
