Can this be done? When I first began ripping my cds a few years ago I ripped the individual tracks separately , now single file output with a cue sheet. Is there some way to combine each track and create one file or will I have to re-rip these cds? I prefer having my rips as cdimages because it keeps the lengths of the filenames to a minimum.

There is a program called Audacity in which you can remove the few seconds of silence that is between songs and combine them into one song. Is this what you are wanting to do? This will make a whole cd as one file. The only draw back to this is when you play the music file it will not show the name to each individual song. With this program you should not have to re-rip your cds. You will still have the songs as you originally ripped them which can be deleted later after the songs are combined into an new file for just in case something happens and you need to start over. I used this on two cds and the results provided a pretty seemless transition from one song to the next.
