My copie of Ole Coltrane seems to have some sort of hicup at 15:28, is that my copy only ? Or the recording itself
Thanks
Lionel

PS : By the way, I jsut discovered it recently ( the "Ole" piece) and absolutly love it. Pretty 'hypnotic' with his continuus rhythm, and very accessible.

From what I can recall, and I played this track a bazillion and one times, is yes, it's a flaw with the actual recording... I even heard it when I had it on my ipod (at that time I got the track from a download site), and thought it was the HD skipping or something. If I'm thinking of the correct part it's AFTER the double bass solo and when Trane is back on taking it to another level (?).

Other than that, AWESOME song!!! If it wasn't so late I'd throw it on now!! That one song confirmed my suspicion that John Coltrane was an alien! When I first heard that song I sat there with my mouth wide open for 18 minutes and 3 seconds! If you want to hear a sample of what Trane did to lead up to that, listen to "Teo" off Miles Davis' Milestones CD. "Teo" isn't as epic, but it's VERY GOOD!

Thanks ! I wanted to be sure.
Coltrane restarts at 13:30, And the 'hiccup' is 2 mn later.

I'll get Teo as well, at first I thought I did not find it on amazon because of that cover on which I did not recognize miles  : http://www.amazon.com/Someday-My-Pri...5876588&sr=1-1

Thanks

You're right it's a little further into his solo, just as he's building up steam! LOL, I've gotten so used to it that it's become a part of the music!

Also, sorry about the confusion, Teo is on the Someday my Prince will come album, hehe, I was listening to Milestones as I was typing that thread, btw that's another GOOD album but very fast and intense..
