Oh, man, I'm so excited by this meet. I don't want to create a useless post here, but this is really shaping up to be excellent.

You can count me 90% in. I didn't know about the westone door prize so that's a sweet little perk to go!

I'm gonna bring pretty much all of my audio gear (the only thing that's staying are some legacy MD units and my Sony CD/MD deck.

I'll be bringing most everything else.

I just noticed that this thread makes no mention of where Westone is in Colorado - come on folks, not everyone knows where Westone is!

Here's the address I pulled from the Web site:

Westone Laboratories, Inc.
2235 Executive Circle
Colorado Springs, CO 80906

I talked to Ray Samuels yesterday here at the meet and his IS coming. We're going to get him setup Friday evening, so everything is ready to go Saturday morning.

I'm also getting a the MiniBox-D and MiniBox-E... good sounding amps for the more budget-minded.

OK here's the dirt on Saturday's meet.

Where: Westone Labs
2235 Executive Circle
Colorado Springs, CO

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...ate1=saveplace

You will see a sign that says Westone Laboratories on the righ hand side. Pull into that parking lot and walk through the front doors. I'll have a few signs up for people to follow. We will basically be in the large meeting room just to the left of the front doors.

When: 11am - 5pm

UPDATE: In honor of Cinco De Mayo I'm having La Casita brought in. We'll be getting large platters of tacos, enchiladas and fajitas around 1pm. We'll have soft drinks and water as well. It's on us, so enjoy !

Ray Samuels is coming in from Chicago and will be bringing some goodies.

UPDATE: Tyll will not be attending, but I just got off the phone with him and they are sending some toys for us to play with. I do not know which ones yet, but they said we will be taken care of.

UPDATE: Mikhal from Single Power will be attending.

I've got several earphones from all the major players people can listen to along with the new MiniBox-D amp and a set of RS-1's.

If there are any specific questions, just send me a PM.

Sounds wonderful, p0wderh0und23. Good music and great Mexican food, too! I'm sorry that Tyll isn't going to be able to attend, but it will be a treat to have Mikhail and Ray Samuels there. (And I am finally going to get to hear some Grados

)

This is going to be a great deal of fun, and I expect I'll learn a lot too. I look forward to meeting all of you.

Does anyone who's going this weekend have such a thing as a SPL meter? I'm curious to find out how loud I'm listening..

I'm thinking the fact all my music is mp3/wav gained to 89db (*) should mean it's not as loud as it could be, I just don't know how loud it is..
(*) for balancing purposes - I don't like having to tweak the volume for every track if it's on Random Play. Plus - less clipping If i use EQ think.

I'm fully expecting to get well and truly schooled in how badly my system is set up..

So I won't be bringing so much stuff as I first thought this weekend. Just going to bring my Karma, CD Player, Glite and 3 Phones (K340 A/250 and MS1s) and some CD's

I was going to bring my squeezebox, but then I'd have to bring the Laptop, external dives etc too. too much stuff

Damn CD player's heavy enough as it is)
