can a cmoy running a OPA2227P with regulated 12v power supply handle 627s on single-to-dual adapter? if not are there any other single channel op amps that could be used with such a cmoy?

627s are compensated so they should work. People will tell you that 12 volts is not enough, but I have run them on 10 and they sounded fine. The only thing I would worry about is that they may not sound very good without a buffer. For CMoys the AD8620 seems to be one of the favorites for good performance. The 2227 is the only other one I would have recommended

The question of buffers is critical. 12V is barely adequate when unbuffered, but with a good low-voltage buffer, you can go down to something like 6V. The load the op-amp drives directly affects its widest output voltage swing, which is why datasheets rarely specify this to below 600 ohms. Often this spec is given at some very high impedance like 10K!
