Perhaps sennheiser has changed the design of the inputs on the headphone side on the hd600 recently? my cardas cable would disconnect quite easily with very little force. the only thing that seemed to hold the cable in was the pressure fit of the cable's electrical contact prongs to the headphone's electrical socket connection.

Just wondering... do you have intermittent channel loss on your 'phones? Just a thought, but could your spring connectors inside the driver housing be loose?
