Hi there,
I just picked up a Sony DNE10 yesterday and I need some new cans for it. I used mostly porta-pros (which I love) with my last pcdp, but I need something with more isolation. Other headphones I've used with my portables include DT250-80s (loved them, but a little too bulky to lug around everywhere), PX200s (lifeless), Eggos (lack bass), and I tried out my girlfriend's EX71s yesterday, and I thought they sounded gross.

I'm considering ER-6s or maybe the new ER-6is, but I'm not really sure which way to go or what other headphones/earphones I should be considering.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

no the sony v6 do not sound like it.

dont know about the er6i, but many people complained about deficency of bass punch for the er6 so i dont think it will sound like the portapro. i'll tell you how the er6i sound in a few days.

the e2c kinda do sound like like my ksc35, but i still think the koss sounded much better, but thats because its much more open, with more treble power too.

the athfc7 is somewhat closed and sound way better than both if the former to me, being very groovy, but the driver sits on your ears so its uncomfortable.

Thanks for your input guys. I've had the V6s and I didn't like them for music; the highs were too harsh for me. I'm going to do a little more research on the E2Cs, and hopefully some of the head-fiers that bought ER-6is will do reviews of them. I'm not at all familiar with the athfc7s but I'll check them out also.
