i was wondering if there is a headphone out there that is closed, but sounded like an open can ?

I haven't found or heard of any, and it's really not a surprise
since laws of physics are 'in the way'.
 
Pistonic distortion & other issues.
 
But of course some closed phones sound more open than others,
and a couple I recommend for that are the AKG 550, the
Audio Technica ATH A900, and its recent upgrade the ATH A900X.

Denon D5000, ATH-W5000, but they both do not isolate that well.
 
Also Sony MDR-1R sound surprisingly open and spacious for its size

The Ultrasone 900 has the most open sound of any closed back headphone I've tried. Also has fantastic bass punch.

Sony MDR-1R. One of the reasons why I even decided to buy these. And SQ did not disappoint either

The Stax 4070, and the Ultrasones can produce a nice open soundstage.
