Closed headphones under $450 for DV336i

I know there are a lot of choices that are great for the 336i, but they are open, (ie 701, K340, etc.) and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for headphones under $450USD that go great with the DV. I listen to all types of music, so I just want some choices, rather than a specific headphone meant for a specific genre of music. I want a....generalization of the different choices I can make. Thanks for the help.

AKG K340 are semi open and if you get fully modded one, which within your budget, than you will get pretty close back one with great open sound. And they do match well with DV.

Other than that you can try Sony CD3000 or some AT, but I do prefer K340 by far, for the money I mean.

The ATH-W1000 plays beautifully when plugged into a Darkvoice.

Ultrasone Proline 750 sound very nice with the Darkvoice 336i. : )

Sorry for bringing up this again, but fully modded K340 put those two in shame easily, IMO.

I agree with Blackmore on the K340. After mods they're pretty much a closed phone. The synergy between the K340 and DV336i is phenominal. I can't think of another closed phone that would compete in your pricerange.
