Loving the sound from the 558, but the bass is lacking too much. The sound stage is excellent for gaming as well. But with a loud family I'm going to have to return these. Is there anything out there similar to these but with closed backs? Thanks.

Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro 250-Ohm headphones.

Edit, I should have said DT770 Pro 250-Ohm.

Sweet. Thanks man. Looks like you have both or tried both? How is the soundstage compared between the 558 and the 770? I've been debating between these since I joined this site. I'm going to be using them mainly for gaming, then movies. And music.

As your looking for a closed headphone, the HD558 (open) is going to have an naturally easier time with sound stage.
I have no problem enjoying movies with the DT770 Pro 250-Ohm.
I will admit my new Beyer T70 (250-Ohm) has somewhat side lined the DT770s

I'm guessing the Pioneer's headphone jack has a high impedance, which is a (minor?) negative for low Ohm headphones (HD558 50-Ohm).
As the DT770s are 250-Ohm, they are better able to work (better bass) with a high impedance headphone jack.
