Beyerdynamic dt231, dont know about price over there but should be close. Fits all criterias except the isolation part, it doesnt isolate as good as other. But on the other hand, sound quality is excellent

for that budget it's a har task...
and if you take K81DJ.. .. why not enlarge it and go with ES7!

If you took out the one-sided cord requirement there are ten's that would nail the other requirements.

just a personal preference thing thats all, i don't think he would mind 2 sided cables, but he prefers the 1 cable & it gets messy a bit easier and the 2 cables hanging down from both sides, if that makes sense? lol
if all else fails getting the k81dj's becuase they are v. good and for its price tag

DT231 bit ugly and tad too large but is an option

i'm guessing there are no other suggestions, a pair of hd 205 are perfect when broken in with eq on bass increase, k81dj's are not comfortable after a few hours

Too bad you can't get the Philips HP460 in the UK, which have similar sound to the K81 without that major clampage.

eH250 ain't bad, definitely more bass than the 150's, somewhat muffled highs, but if one cord is bothersome, two and detachable will.
