i'd like a pair of closed ear headphones, i appreciate that these generally don't sound as good as the open ones but i want them so that i can listen to music at my pc without disturbing others in the room. bass is important to me and i'm not interested in using them 'on the move'. it doesn't matter if the cups, spin/turn etc.

models i've been taking a look at are the Sennheiser HD 280 Pro's and the AKG K240's purely because they are in the price range i'm looking at... around £60 which i think is about $100 but i've read mixed reviews on the hd280's so i'm not convinced with those and i don't really know a lot about the k240's.

any help would be much appreciated.

on headroom the review for the Sennheiser HD 212 Pro's is very good. my only concern with those is how much of the sound will disturb others.

it does say they have good bass though

if it says closed NOTHIGN will leak, if its open, youll throw a concert for your friends. i had the 212's but then traded them. they are bass heavy like crazy. you might liek them if you want bass in quantity.
