Phantom is excellent CIEM. Why do you sell it?

  6. davidmolliere
Yes it’s great, but I am unloading the collection since I got FIBAE7 which ticks both the boxes of the VE8 and Phantom in one. VE8 is sold already...

I need cash right now also :p

  7. davidmolliere
Puzzling... no interest at that price?

I got an offered for 470 but the guy asking 60 for shipping, so 700 Europe kinda high:ksc75smile:

Guessing it's the relative lack of firms that offer reshelling these days :frowning2:

    Ok...
    Custom or universal ?

At this price I am keeping them

    And :

Some example much higher price... (most FS around 1000)

Ambient and Naga do this quite well for 200.

Issue is probably universal vs. custom. Hard to resell customs without taking an absolutely massive hit - especially when there are additional costs involved (ear impressions, shipping, etc.) and the manufacturer doesn’t offer an official reshelling service.

Ambient, Naga, AAW, Hidition, etc. can all reshell, but you’re still losing any manufacturer warranty with no guarantee of keeping the same sound.

I do understand big hit, I do however see what the market is... if it doesn’t go then I’ll keep them is all :D

I get it, just won’t sell that low is all

The issue is that reshelling will certainly have an impact on sound. They will never sound the same if you reshell them. Unfortunately, that means that you can only sell them at a very low price if you find someone who is ready to sacrifice the quality of sound
