Close to the stage phones

What phones put you right on the stage with the band? I had heard the KSC75's were like this but I heard no weight to the notes with these. Any other suggestions, preferably higher impedance (tube amp.)

Grado Headphones are fairly unanimously described as 'forward', although they're only 32 ohm.

In my experience, they don't project sound out and infront unless that was how it was recorded, i just happen to like that sound signature

But do Grado's have the lack of authority/weight to the notes as I experienced with the KSC75's ?

The HD-595 is like a more reserved Grado, and is one of the more 'forward-sounding' headphones in the Senn lineup. It also has a larger soundstage than most Grados. It all depends how close you want to be.

Grado 125, 225, 325.
But not the RS1, RS2 or HF1.Different presentation

HD 595. Currently listening to mine and am fighting with the pianist to move out of the way.

Honestly, great pair of cans for that "closer" feeling.
