Hi.

I loaned my imod, xmod & sr 80's to someone who was in hospital. Sadly the loanee managed to accidentally rip a transducer from the head band & accidentally pour coke (read saturate) over the transducers, my imod and xmod. The imod is drying out but might well be fried, the xmod seems ok. The sr 80's look and sound toasted. Can I clean the transducers internals? Maybe spray pure alcohol over them?

Probably immersing the transducer in pure alcohol then complete drying would help - just don't try to listen to them until you get sure no fluid is around voice coil. I got a voice coil damaged trying to listen to an SR80 with wet coil.
