Classy looking sound isolating portable headphones

Hi everyone, this is my first post here on head fi. I have been recently looking for a pair of headphones that have good sound quality, are portable, have a classic more mature look to them, and must have superb sound isolation. I am purchasing these to be able to use at school so they must have nearly 100% sound isolating abilities so I can use them in completely silent rooms after completing tests and such. I was considering the Harmon kardon Cl but I heard they had poor isolation which is a big deal breaker I am currently using the vmoda cross fades for my portable set at school but they don't isolate enough for my purposes. I love some good bass so that is also important to me. I thank you all in advance for your help and look forward to being here on the forums more often.

Welcome to Head-fi. I believe you are also after headphones that don't leak sound very much. Do you have a budget in mind? Do you prefer on ear or over ear? How much do you value comfort and about how long will you continuously wear them? Any particular music genre that you prefer?
 
From the info in your request, my first thought was the B&W P5 or P7.

I would prefer something around 150 but I could go up to 200 or so if i can find something just right. I listen to every kind of music but mostly hip hop and classical (a very difficult combination lol). I was thinking on ear because they usually have better sound isolation. I probably will wear them for a couple hours at most (a typical study session). I've been looking a little at the p5's but most of what I have read says they're overrated and don't isolate well.

PS: audio source will be an iPad mini to a Fiio E11 to headphone

Are you against getting in-ear phones?  Most would give you a good bit of isolation, esp the sound leakage.  Etymotic HF5 would give you excellent isolation, but are not the bass-iest earphones around.  Heck, the Philips SHE3590 is under $15 from Amazon.com and it is a great sounding in-ear.  You can get several, for home, school, work, etc.
 
And in-ears would be much more discreet, unless it's the appearance of phones on your head that you are going for.

As long as I can get good sound while not forcing everyone else to suffer the same fate. On a slightly different note from what I've been asking for, do the monster vektr's prevent sound leakage well? They're 85 bucks right now which sounds to me like a good deal.

The whole point of in-ear phones is to isolate the sound to your ears only, and insulate you some from outside noise.
 
Concerning the Monster earphones, if you like bloated bass, muddy sound in general, and a fad-ish look that will be out of style in one month, AND paying way more than you should, then buy something from Monster.

The opinions are strong with this one lol. While I 100% agree with the sound quality and price issues. In my opinion (while they are quite faddish) the vektr are a very good looking phones. I only ask because I have previously owned a pair of monster DNA headphones (bought on sale for $60 so don't yell at me) and they had outstanding isolation and near zero leakage. Just wondering if the vektr's were the same.

I'll definitely look into those in ears though. I'm liking the senns
