Really enjoyed Chinese march - great horns, great soundstage! If I hadn't of seen the composer and album cover I could mistake parts of this for a film score.

An older but good recording
Good might be a bit of an understatement. The playing and sound quality are legendaryand the 4th movement has been one of my go to demo tracks for decades. One of the recodings that fully justifies all the hoopla about the “golden age” and the cost of hirez reissues. And if you want one of the original shaded dog pressings, fagedaboudit.

Demo recordings in my foxhole.

Nice. This seems to be a bit of a collectors item. The flac files on Presto are $262 dollars and the cds on Amazon are $790.

Well then I am lucky to have virtually all on SACDs which sold for 7-8 USD each in the early to mid 2k SACD era.
Nowadays I play the cd layer via my Chord Mscaler.

I actually played Reiner´s RCA Bartok Concerto for Orchestra last night.

And Puccini´s Turandot with
Birgit Nilson and Jussi Björling a couple of weeks ago.

I particularly like the early 60s RCA Opera recordings: Boheme, La Travaiata and Madame Butterfly.
But Mahler´s DLVDE and 4th symphony from Reiner and the CSO are still amazing.

At levels above f-ff they DO show their age, sounding a bit thin and shrill compared to modern cd or hi res recordings. But still amazing SQ for their 60+ age and musically definite classics.
Cheers CC
