I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of a Little Dot mk III and had sort of a stupid question relating to tubes. Are all tube amps biased to be in class A? or can they be class AB, or just B like transistors? Does my amp run in Class A? Just wondering, this will be my first piece of tube gear.

A vacuum tube (as an amplification device) is not that fundamentally different than a transistor in its basic operation, so all the various classifications (class A, B, etc) also apply. The specific class a particular amp operates in depends on the topology as well as the operating points (biasing).

What class do the singlepower amps operate in? I notice most headphone amps don't advertise what class they are.

I believe Singlepower's amps are OTL

IIRC believe all OTL amps are class-A

OTL = Output Transformer-Less
It just means that the amp was designed not to use an output transformer. That doesn't necessarily imply class A.

I don't know whether SinglePower amps are class A or not.
