I just noticed Acoustic Sounds has just gotten the vinyl LP of London Calling in stock. It's on the Epic label -- does anyone know if this is the same version as the remastered CD that's been out for a while, or at least if it's been mangled up compared to the original release?

I've got the '99 remastered CD version, but no idea what the original sounds like, so I'm just trying to decide whether it'd make more sense to find a good used copy or go with this new release to get a vinyl copy.

Used Clash vinyl tends to be pretty beat-up, seeing as it's the Clash. I have used copies of The Clash and Combat Rock that are in good shape, though. I'd look for an inexpensive used copy of London Calling. Sometimes I see them for $20 or more, which is ridiculous, even if it is a double album.
