I have an Asus Chromebox, does anyone know if it will work with a dac/headphone amp like the Fulla 2? Googling wasn't much help. I just want to stream Spotify and I'm hoping that is easily done via USB. I also have the Chromebox hooked up via HDMI to my TV, and that is how I currently listen to Spotify.

I use an Acer C720 Chromebook and every USB DAC I've tried has been recognized upon plugging in. I do not however know what ChromeOS does to the bitstream that is sent to the DAC (ie if it is resampled). I have installed Ubuntu via Crouton and my DACs were still recognized. You can do this to install the actual Spotify app within your Linux environment and stream at 320kbps vs the web player interface in ChromeOS.

Thamasha69, thanks for responding! My Chromebox is stock, no linux or Ubuntu. It sounds like you are saying the Chromebox might give me less sound quality compared with streaming Spotify from my desktop PC? I hope not, but I guess the only thing to do is try it. I have a Focusrite Scarlett connected to my PC, so that will help there, I hope.

Hey man no probkem! AFAIK there is no real Spotify app available for ChromeOS so you will be limited to the webplayer bitrate vs the high quality 320kbps bitrate that can be set in the Spotify apps (PC, Linux, Mac, mobile, etc). So you could install the Spotify app on your Chromebox by installing Linux on it or potentially the Android Spotify app if your machine supports it (I don't know much about the latter as my C720 doesn't run Android apps).
