I wondered what headphones head-fiers have on their wish list? I am talking about phones you are actually considering buying or are purchasing. Mention headphone/amp combos too, if thats your plan.

The headphone/amp combo I'm putting on my list is the Ultrasone HFI-650/Porta Corda.

I'm not getting any phones, but instead a JMT max-out META42 and a Bolder M-80 mini -> RCA cable for Xmas. They'll be used with my Etys and either my SlimX or my on-the-way Sony D-25. Also, I'm getting some 1.2m Outlaw PCA interconnects for my home (speaker) setup...

Right now? HD590s and an HA-1 from Jan. However, my "plans" might very well be blown to hell when ever all these reviews for the new AT cans sart poping up. We'll see...

My X-mas list has the DT770's right atop... but I may have to reconsider if there is a new version coming out...

Other considerations are ATH-W1000 (and like Kinetix, it's pending reviews) and SR-325 (but i wanna listen to 'em first). Some fun with solder will also ensue, and hopefully I'll be able to be like one of Santa's slave elves and make myself an amp.

And of course, source. I'm thinking something with SACD capability here...

I'm all about the ATH-A1000. I can't praise the ATH-A9X's enough They were my upgrade from Grado SR-80, heh, so I thought they were magnificent. I'm not as instantly pleased with the W100's... it is very much a growing into type headphone so, be advised
