I would like to share out the Box Chord MoJo and my personal Impression

We have yesterday MoJo mini meet at Chill In Cafe
I was as one of the luckiest Audiophile in Indonesia to tried and tested Chord MoJo with some friends yesterday

My first Impression

Noble K 10 U

Hradphone :
Oppo PM 1

High :
It is make my AK 240 SS more clear and better present

Mid :
Clearer and make more pronounce

Bass :
Very good impact and make better and controlled Bass
Has better detail too.

Separation :
Make better music separation too

Soundstage :
Make my AK 240 SS more 3 D like in big concert hall

Overall :
My Noble K 10 U never sound so excellent with fuller sound , with AK 240 SS + MoJo + Noble K 10 U = the best
Synergy I ever heard from my K 10 U
This set up make my AK 240 SS + MoJo at the level my AK 380 for using with all Iems.
Headphone with low impedance like Oppo PM1 can drive very good with MoJo.
For hard to drive headphone like LCD X I feel not enough power
IMO

How to use this line out function:

Turn On MoJo
And press the Volule botton + and - together .during the light indication still on progress.
The light turn to light blue
Its work as true Line Out

Sound Quality :
With this True Line Out Function is really excellent.
Can make Ak 100 II + MoJo as powerfull and very clean Source .
This Double Amping never make distorsion.thats mean KoJo ia really true Line Out.

High :
More clear and extended High.
Excellent high presents .
Ak100 II never has the high like with MoJo.

Mid :
Is clearer .sweeter and has better pronounce than only ak 100 II

Bass :
Very good in detail and very clean Bass and very good impact too.the bass Quality improve with better speed.

Separation :
Much better music separation
Than direct ak 100 II as source

Soundstage :
Is more 3 D room than direct Al 100 II

Overall :
Ak 100 II as source Bass sound not so tight and the instrument is not so focus.
As i add MoJo with their true line out function
I feel i have new DAP
Everything sound better and fresh and has fuller sound too
I love my MoJo more and more

Like macBook
Can play DSD music file

9. As true line out
Turn on and direct press
Together + and - about 8 sec
Until both lamp indicator
Turn to light Blue
Sound is excellent

10. It can drive passive Speaker
In good soumd quality

Note :
It can not charge use adapter with 500 mAh

I charge use ipad Charger with
2000 mAh

Battery life is about 8 hours for nonstop use with 2 iems on headphone out

Is the battery life on permanent full line out on Mojo still around 10 hours or more or less? What would be your personal best (small) portable balanced amp with Mojo as DAC source on full line out?

This set up can play claasical Orchestra like Mahler Nr 5 in excellent and very Grand presentation.
Best set up for classical Big Orchetra
How good string and Brass sound is like in live concert

The battery life is shorter about 8 Hours

So far my full balance amp is only Mass KoBo 404 with trrs in and output


Yes I use regular micro to micro USB and it is not USB OTG cable

Sorry, you're wrong. It has to be an OTG cable or USB devices cannot work with Android, period. The pin out is different in an OTG cable to trigger host mode in the connected Android device. You can't tell from the outside that an OTG cable is any different than a regular cable, which is why I think you've got it wrong here. Don't take my word for it though, it's detailed in the Chord Electronics pages on the Mojo.

Thank you for your thoughts. I have a Hugo and I think you do too, so it would be interesting to hear about differences between the two.
 
Also, regarding the line out, as you know the Hugo has the same feature of holding down specific buttons to get a set output, but it is not a true line out since the level can still be changed with the volume control. Can you change the level on the Mojo when it is in line out mode?
 
I'm considering a Mojo since my Hugo is relegated to my main system. I recently bought a Case Logic camera bag that fits my SS as if it were made for it. It has a front zippered pouch that looks to be able to house the Mojo, so my portable setup would be completely protected.
