Hqplayer is very nice software, but it annoyed me the way I have to work with it. If roon and hqplayer ever makes a bond or something it would be great. Untill then….I would spend 300 bucks on the piece of software that takes about an hour to learn and has MANY more features than mscaler. Not only that, the guy who writes hqplayer answers your questions directly on the roon forums.
But its your money, do what you will. There is more than one way to skin a cat.
Not going to change the way that I do things.
I chose tt2+mscaler, because when I come home I want to flip a switch, streamer on, amplifier on, dac on, and listen.
