BLE Advertising is also required. Here is the nRF Connect output from my phone:
Mine has everything with a yes next to it... For some reason even using config button, cannot see any other modes besides hotspot, network, access, and the airplane/dlna/upnp etc mode (not including bluetooth mode
apparently looking at the app store others have this same issue with more recent versions of gofigure even with v2.0 for my phone model, these started with newer versions, and upnp still works for them, can't connect that either, bubble upnp can't find it, any advice for that?
@Matt Bartlett are you able to advise Gabriel?
When you open Gofigure there is a switch at the bottom of the page which let's you try normal or alternate mode. Have you tried this?
Some Android phones use a much slower version of BLE and so we had to build in an alternative connection method.
Hi Mike. From V2.0 onwards the update is under the control of the user and is no longer automatic so you can choose if and when you want to install it. The device settings page of
Gofigure will show you whether and update is available and then give you instructions if you choose to update. To answer another question I saw the other day if you can't use Gofigure then you can update using the config button directly on Poly. There is a spoken menu and one of the options is firmware update.
Even when I am connected via poly hotspot, it still doesn't work for upnp...
For some reason mine doesn't switch with config to anything besides, network, hotspot, access, and dlna/upnp/airplay mode...
I bought it used like new from an authorized dealer called listenup, I wonder if the previous owner somehow messed it up... If they did how can I fix that, I wanted to reset the device to see if it would help but I am not given the option...
Thanks Matt. I think it is good that the user can now choose when to update. Hopefully I am over the biggest hurdles, but there are still some issues that make poly confusing for complete newbies, who buy a poly that is still on v1.0.26 or earlier. I will include them in a PM.
I bought mine ex-demo from a dealer, and the config pin options seem to be the same as yours.
I managed to use GoFigure to update the WiFi details and add the router password simply enough.
After that GoFigure said that Poly was already connected to the internet, but Poly kept flashing blue indicating still searching for a network. - definitely confusing.
I left Poly like this, and after several minutes it must have connected, because the light stopped flashing and the update download started.
Very mysterious, but at least it worked.
Hi again. I might have missed this in the posts but do you know if this unit has up to date firmware. If it was sold as used like new then perhaps the firmware was never updated.
This could cause problems.
There is also a chance that your unit is in Roon mode. Probably the easiest thing to try is to use the config switch to put your unit into hotspot/access point mode so Poly starts to broadcast it's own WiFi signal. Then using your phone or computer connect to this Poly WiFi network. This will then bring up a config webpage you can look at to check all the details.
The mode will be shown and also the version of firmware is shown at the bottom of the page.
I used the iphone se I was using for playback with the mojo and it can see the poly in the gofigure app
I fly out next week & am borrowing my wife’s Poly for the long flights.
I have Qobuz with offline.
I entered the account info into Go Figure.
How do I access Qobuz with Poly??
You need to have a upnp app, there is a Quboz and Tidal folder if you point upnp app to the Poly as a server.
You need an active internet connection though as Poly doesnt support offline......
