Any comment please? Is this a known issue? @Matt Bartlett @Mojo ideas
@jldevo - I have the same with mine - I think there were a couple of us that saw this in the first week after release. Pretty sure mine is also a dislodged light pipe as suggested by @Mojo ideas earlier in this thread so it needs to be returned to Chord have it popped back into place. Doesn't cause me any issues not seeing Mojo's power status indicator but will return at some point during the warranty to get it fixed - too busy enjoying the music right now! And I'm not as brave as @Andreeas1978 !!
We know that part of the testing procedure checks the pass through illumination so we can certainly hope that they are fine on shipping out
but we are assuming that when the configure pin is being used that it is sometimes being inadvertently inserted in the wrong hole and it is pushing the light pipe out of position I know this can happen as I’ve done it myself. Fortunately when the Gofigure App is released later in this month the configure pin can be consigned to the trash can where it belongs as the app will handle this.
Mine had the pipe dislodged at the Mojo end, not black window where it could be confused with the reset hole. Actually during assembly it tends to stay ok in the plastic window and jump out of the triunghiular-ish larger Mojo hole!
Pls take a look and tell us which hole does not have the light pipe coming out like a tiny LED
And no, Sir, I don't put the wrong tools in the wrong holes, I mean it! That could have costed me my life back in Afgh, I am EOD specialist (explosive devices)
And the pass through illumination test might get fooled by the fact that a bright enough light still comes through Poly's body like through a simple box, as first tested with my phone flashlight.
The light pipe is sticking out a few millimetres at the poly end. The elongated hole at mojo end is empty. No sign of any light pipe. Not sure how it should look. Anyone got a pic of the light pipe at mojo end? Or a pic of what I should see at poly end when m. Status works correctly? Thanks.
This is just a minor...fact, I don't even consider it a problem.
Yep, that was my case also! I don't have pictures from before fixing it but I will upload in just a moment some of how it should look
Let me just turn it off and take them..
I just tried the torch of my phone. The m. Status illuminated white. Why doesn’t it illuminate with mojo led? Maybe the phone torch was much brighter, thus enough to work.
@Mojo ideas I can guarantee I have not used the config tool in the light pipe area. My light pipe is visible and sticks out 1-2 mm at poly end.
Kinda hard to catch with my phone. At first, box sealed, the connections side hole was just an empty triangle. That's where the pipe takes its light from Mojo. At this end, the pipe stays loose, easy to escape during factory assembly and a pain to keep in place during manual assembly.
YES!! That felt strange to me too, l remember! coming out a little at Poly end!!!
Be careful not to have it out even more and crack it, it seemed kinda brittle to me and the length is exactly calculated from hole to hole.
WiFi channels 12 and 13 are actually allowed in the US, but transmission is restricted to low power to avoid interference with adjacent bands. Something else to consider is that the devices might have a location derived from cell connection, IP address, GPS, etc. E.g. music apps need to determine location (country) because of licensing agreements.
